霍金這個名字，相信大家都不陌生！他是現代最偉大的物理學家之一，主要研究領域是宇宙論和黑洞，酒店打工
對人類在宇宙知識的探索有著巨大貢獻；不過，讓人不解的是，這位偉大的科學家生前曾經警告過人類，要盡快離開地球，這是為什麼呢？

史蒂芬·威廉·霍金（Stephen William Hawking，1942年1月8日－2018年3月14日）是20世紀享有國際盛譽的偉人之一，然而天妒英才，1963年，霍金21歲時患上肌肉萎縮性側索硬化症，全身癱瘓，不能言語，手部只有三根手指可以活動；當時，醫生曾診斷身患絕症的他只能活兩年，可他一直堅強地活了下來。並提出了黑洞蒸發理論和無邊界的霍金宇宙模型，為人類做出了重大貢獻。

然而，最令人震驚的是，2017年11月，霍金預言，稱人類可能在2600年就會滅絕。如此偉大的科學家，會說出這樣的論調，必然有他的道理；霍金認為，隨著地球人口增長，能源消耗將會增加，地球將變成一個「熊熊燃燒的火球」。霍金認為，要擺脫這場災難，只能去尋找一個適合人類生存的星球。他還稱，「人類如果還想把自己的存在延長100萬年的話，就要無畏地去往自己從未去過的地方。」

霍金的預言，得到許多科學家的認同，像近些年來越來越少的森林植被、被污染的河流海洋、滅絕的動植物、全球氣候暖化、北極冰塊融化，類似的環境問題層出不窮；按照霍金的說法，如果人類不加以節制，將來地球會變成一個「熊熊燃燒的火球」； 因此，人類就要去尋找一個適合人類居住的星球，這也是為什麼霍金要警告人類離開地球，因為如果再放任生態繼續遭到無情的破壞，地球將變成不適合人類居住；為了我們後代子孫著想，從現在起全人類都要一起做好環保、保護地球。
